I had never plugged a tire hole before. I also never expected to have to lol. I had this kit in my car for emergencies, and thankfully I did. I ran over a board that had nails in it, and right away my tire went flat. Being a girl, I was skeptical to even try. I was so proud of myself that I did it, and it only took me about 30 min!. This kit is amazing and has made me feel much better about taking long trips.

I was a little scared about this but when I got the kit all was good. I'm now ready to hit the open road on my bike with out fear of a flat. the Kit was great. I got rid of the plastic box and put it in a smaller fork bag for Harley. Its heavy duty and easy to use. I hope never to use it but I know I can get the job done. this kit will help if I come across another car or bike with a flat. sturdy kit and a lot of bang for the buck. Yep this is a must have for the long haul person. get one today plus they make a great gift
Bought this kit because I just set up a Toyota 4Runner for off road activities. Looks like a pretty complete kit. So far I haven't had to use it which I guess is a good thing. There is a trick to using these kits and making them work. What I did like is the follow up by the company wanting to know if you used it, if you had any problems and tips for plugging the correct way. First class company. Like it.
Excellent kit. The only thing I found missing in this kit is an air gauge. You'd think as cheap as they are that this would have come with a decent on in it? Overall, the tools in it seem to be of decent quality. I used it once already to repair a nail/screw issue in a tire! Definitely worth having
Although I am not a mechanic or even a mechanical person, I am confident I could easily fix a flat tire with this kit. The Tools inside the compact case are of the highest quality solid steel construction. First, use the supplied pliers to remove the nail or other object causing the flat. Next, Ream the hole with a lubed reamer. Then, use the T-handle insert tool to insert a plug into the tire. That is really all there is to it! I bought this kit for my daily commute because it provides me peace of mind. The compact design makes it easy to store under my passenger seat. This kit is a high quality thoughtfully designed product that is easy to use and is a good value for the money!
I got this kit for my side by side, for the Arizona desert. I was able to try it out after a sharp rock on the trail punctured the right front sidewall. The hole in the sidewall was so large it required 3 plugs for the larger hole and 1 plug for the smaller hole above the large hole. With the 4 plugs the tire finally would hold air. It is still holding air. I'm am still waiting to receive my new tire. I am sure glad that I bought this Tire Repair kit.
I bought this to repair a pair of cars and a motorcycle I have. So far, I’ve used it on my motorcycle and air pressure remained the same. Only problem I had initially was trying to push the plug into a tiny hole. I Should’ve made it bigger. Oh well, it worked and I’m a happy customer. I do love that the company emails me on follow up tips and feedbacks on their product! -Not just selling a product and forgetting their customers.
I bought this tire repair kit as I finished up another, cheaper kit that I had in the toolbox after fixing a punctured tread on my car. It's always good to have a kit on hand for occasions like this. The big difference between this kit and the ones I had been using is the quality of the tools and the completeness of the set. The reamer and plugging tool are really top notch. I've had cheaper, plastic models break on me. These are not those kind. These are rugged and built to last. There's quite a supply of plug strings, so this kit will last me years.
This kit is exactly like the one my dad had when I was growing up and it always worked great.
Just plugged a hole from a screw and everything worked great. *make sure you tighten the T handle first mine poops right off first use! But the great thing is they send you Allen wrentchws for the T handle and everything. Extra stems and caps and all. The needle nose plyers are even ok quality.
All in all fantastic kit. My only negative things to say are tighten the T handle and the plugs are so sticky you can barely get them out of the packageing. But hey that's how there supposed to be.
I ordered this repair kit just prior to going on a trip with my son. I really never get flats, but on this trip the 2nd day while driving in Yosemite to Glacier point there was some work being done to remove trees from a recent fire. Somehow we picked up a bolt from I'm assuming from the area where the work was being done. I wasn't sure what I should do so since it was still holding air I just left it in. The next day while we were driving down the highway the bolt blew out and the tire went flat quickly. Pulled off to the side of the road and used this kit to repair the tire. This was my first time doing a repair of this type. We removed the wheel so we could easily access the repair area and followed the instructions and did the repair. It seemed to work!! We had a compressor to pump it up and off we went. Total time was less than 40 min start to finish. Our spare was not the same size so this was our first choice. After a couple hundred miles the tire was loosing a little bit of air. At our next gas stop we pumped it up again but could hear a slight hiss. We removed the plug and installed a new one. Next day tire was slightly low on pressure again. We were in SLC at the time so I went looking for a tire store to do a permanent repair. Found Discount Tires and went in to see if they would fix it. They said no because I had "comprised the tire by putting in the plug". BS. They have now lost any chance of getting any future business from me. I called my tire guy in CA and he said it could certainly be repaired. I figured I would just have to nurse it along pumping up the tire at every gas stop until I could get to a place that would honestly do the repair. While in the parking lot at Discount Tires I used the kit again to shove in a second plug and and see if that would help. I had nothing to lose. Our next destination was Moab UT. I was sure that I would find a tire shop there experienced to this type of repair. On that leg of the journey we didn't loose any air pressure. The next cold morning the tire was still holding air. I had arranged to take it to a tire shop in town, but decided to wait and see. The entire rest of the trip of 600 plus miles and a good 3 hrs of off roading the tire held pressure. I will have it fixed permanently, but it has been over a week with no loss of pressure and I'm thoroughly pleased. It was a good size bolt in the tire, not a simple puncture. I'm very impressed with this repair kit. I'm so glad I had it along for this trip.
I was reluctant to buy this; it's quite a bit more expensive than some others, and it's almost too complete (did I REALLY need to buy another pair of needle-nosed pliers?). I finally bit because it seemed to promise a heavier-duty solution for thorns in my tractor tires; I felt like the wimpy strings in some cheap kits would not fill the holes I face. Got it, used it within days, and was very pleased; the process was simple, the heavy string was reassuring (and worked in a large thorn hole), and I guess having everything in one box was a bit of a plus--I didn't have to go get the needle-nosed from somewhere else. Some things, like the knife, aren't impressively made but are totally functional. So, more expensive than the lighter-duty or less-complete options--but less expensive, faster and more convenient than a single commercial tractor tire repair. Before you use it, check that the set screws on the handles are tight; don't play superman and strip them out, but do see that they're snug or you might take a pull on the reamer and find yourself with just a handle in your hand.
This tire repair kit is high quality. It comes in a nice sturdy plastic storage case with everything that you need to repair a flat tire. It is perfect to keep in the trunk, under the seat, or at home in the garage so when you need to fix a tire you don’t have to go looking for all of the different tools and are needed. It comes with a nice set of directions with pictures as well.
This is the sturdiest, most complete tire repair kit I have ever owned. It is more like what I have seen in a tire repair shop than in the average person's home. My husband was very impressed and pleased with it as well. Would have made a great Father's Day gift, I should have waited to give it to him then! Highly recommend this quality product.
The kit is everything that was said on the website. It is heavy duty and all the items that I saw where quality items. Hate to say it but I hope don't have to use the kit anytime soon but at least I know this equipment is much better than my old equipment and I don't have to worry about anything breaking. Should make my job at little easier with the heavy duty tools.
